1Lutje Hoeske in Tinallinge

This cosy cottage, the “Lutje Hoeske” is situated in Tinallinge, a beautiful little “terp” ( a sort of artificial mound) village on the impressive Groninger countryside.

Tinallinge is very special: an unspoilt northern Groninger village of 20 houses and farmhouses clustered around the old church, timeless and green, imbedded in peace and quiet.

Since we have bought the former poorhouse in the 90-ies, it is completely restored, carefully preserving the authentic exterior. Inside we also kept many old elements, which we have combined with modern comfort. The cottage is tastefully decorated to match the historic value.

It is ideal for those who want to enjoy nature, silence, peace and quiet, in an authentic setting.

The ground floor has a living room (with double sofa bed), a dining area, a small, fully equipped nostalgic kitchena, a lavish bathroom with an antique bathtub, modern sauna, a steam bath and a separate toilet. The upper floor has a spacious romantic bedroom.

Tinallinge is situated 20 kilometers north of the city of Groningen, 6 kilometers as the crow flies south of the Wadden Sea. It is located on the Groningen “Hoogeland”, the countrysitde with its historic farms: vast estates with magnificent views, small forgotten “terp” villages and shiny winding streams.

There are numerous bike/excursion possibilities.

The beautiful village of Eenrum has a clog factory and a mustard dairy: both of which can be visited. The seal sanctuary in Pieterburen is well known. A delicious lunch at the historical Reitdiep in Garnwerd a welcome change. Warffum has an open-air museum and the former millionaires village Usquert has beautiful houses of the architect Berlage. Admire to the monumental farmhouses everywhere!
All this within 15 kilometers cycling distance!

Beyond that:
* A day trip to one of the Frisian Islands is a happening
* a visit to the city of Groningen is simple: the station is 1.5 km from the “Lutje Hoeske”, in less than half an hour, you are on the main market square.

The restoration of our lovely house is now almost completed, and we are happy to offer the “Lutje Hoeske” for rent, to enable other persons to enjoy this unique place.
