2Quinta with sea view in Facho de Azoia

On our 7,500 square meter plot in the middle of a nature preserve, you can hear the birds chirping and see the buzzards and eagles circling in the air. Early in the morning the rabbits jump around in the garden and the lizards scurry along the walls during the da . It's the ideal place to relax and leave the stress behind .

Our Quinta has two apartments (Jasmine and Lavender), which are completely separated from each other since the house was built on a slope . That way the two terraces are located on different levels .

Although the Quinta is so quiet and picturesque, it is not far from Lisbon ( about 30 - 40 min by car) . In the next major town, Sesimbra (10 min), you can just stroll , drink a vinho verde at the beach or eat out at an excellent fish- restaurant in the evening.

The 60 square meter apartment Jasmine has been prepared especially for ourselves. You enter it through an elongated conservatory, from which one can see across the sea to the Lisbon Coast and in clear weather to the Sintra Mountains.

In the evening I like to sit at the window of the conservatory with a glass of red wine and look across the sea to the sparkling coastal scenery.

Two French double doors lead from the winter garden either into the bedroom, where there is a queen´s bed (1.60 x 2.00 ) or into the kitchen with an induction cooker , a microwave, a dishwasher , an oven, a refrigerator with a freezer and a glassed-in fireplace.

From the bedroom you go through a small passage to a large bathroom with a shower and a claw-foot bathtub . To the Jasmine apartment belongs the palm terrace with sea view. To the back of the Jasmine apartment there is still another large terrace with a long stone table , shaded by a wisteria and vine pergola . On this terrace there is also a stone barbecue and a pizza oven .

The small pool (5 x 5 m) is more for refreshing, but it is in a beautifully landscaped , walled area with stone couches, straw umbrellas and a few plum trees.

The adjoining Natural Park Serra da Arrabida extends over 10,800 hectares between Sesimbra and Setúbal and is ideal for hiking and nature watching . Climbing is the new hobby of our family! Just minutes away from the Quinta our climbers tested a climbing tour guided by a tourist organization.

Finally we have found the time to make our Quinta a paradise . As a fanatical gardener I never run out of ideas - initially to the chagrin of Winfried , but now he has been infected as well.

There is still much to do but as of now it is a wildly romantic garden with lots of charm and countless enchanted places where you can let your mind wander .
